And to you too! Your blog posts are frequently bright spots in my day, and while I have no idea how I found your blog in the first place, I’m sure glad I subscribed to it!
It wasn’t easy posing in front of my mac using the Photobooth app. I had to click my mouse with my feet and stop the dogs from squirming so much! Merry Christmas to you, too!
I can imagine! (It was delightful to see you, though)
Most dogs don’t get pictures. (Although I had a Keeshond once that I’m convinced loved being photographed. She seemed to pose in stances she never normally used. In some cases I could almost sense her glancing at me out of the corner of her eye and going, see, isn’t this cute?)
Thank you, John! Miss you a ton here. We had a very, very good Christmas dinner made by Bud. It was paleo. No breads, no grains. (Carolyn’s White Christmas pie was awesome!) Hope to be spending a Christmas with you up here soon!
Your blog is much more than a break. It’s a place to learn, think, commiserate, laugh, and wonder. As I start to read your posts, I never know if I’m going to end up feeling happy, angry, grateful, frustrated, entertained, or inspired, or some combination of those and other feelings. But I always come away believing I can now see the world a little more clearly. Thank you for that, for your incredible gifts of writing, painting, and photography, and for your friendship, as well.
Hey Jean (Sally and Stella), belated holiday greetings, pal and pups! I was out on the West Coast where I spent a computer-less Christmas with my family. Your blog is definitely one of the brighter lights in the blogosphere to me. I feel very lucky to know someone who is kind, thoughtful, massively creative and often, hilarious.

Great pic! And very 3-dish.
